Sarnath, the holy place, has been developed as a place of pilgrimage, both for Buddhists from India and abroad. Countries including Japan, Myanmar, Tibet, South Korea, Sri Lanka & Thailand have erected temples in Sarnath in their own styles of architecture. You will have the opportunity to experience an overview of Buddhist architecture from various cultures. The major attractions in Sarnath are – Mulagandha Kuti Vihar, Deer Park, Dhammek Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa, Ashoka Pillar, Archeological and Excavation Area, Archeological Museum and The Garden of Spiritual Wisdom.
- Experience duration is 6 hours including travel time from meeting point to Sarnath and back, starting at 10:00 am and ends at 4:00 pm
- Meeting Point – Sonarpura Crossing
- This will be a tuktuk tour; Sarnath is around 15 kilometers from our meeting point, so you will pass through the most part of this city while tuktuk ride.
- You will stop at Bharat Mata Mandir – Instead of traditional statues of gods and goddesses, this temple has a huge map of undivided India carved in marble. This temple is dedicated to Bharat Mata and claims to be the only one of its kind in the world. The other stop will be Sanskrit University on the way to Sarnath.
- In Sarnath you will visit Mulagandha Kuti Vihar & Deer Park, Chaukhandi Stupa, Dhammek Stupa, Ashoka Pillar, Archeological and Excavation Area, Archaeological Museum, Garden of Spiritual Wisdom, Thai Temple, Tibetan Temple and Jain Temple
- Entry ticket for Chaukhandi Stupa (Rs. 25 for Indians & Rs. 300 for foreigners) and Dhammek Stupa (Rs. 25 for Indians and Rs. 300 for foreigners) is not included
- Museum and all other entry tickets included. Museum is closed on every Friday
